This Privacy Policy explains how the Charging Animation app ("we", "our", "the app") handles information when you use it on your Android device. By installing or using the app, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

The app itself does not ask you to sign in, does not create an account, and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or files stored on your device.

The app stores your preferences (selected animation, sound/vibration toggles, premium status, and similar settings) locally on your device only, using Android DataStore. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up through Android's built-in backup service.

2. Data Collected by Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party SDKs, which may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

a) Google AdMob (advertising)

We display ads served by Google AdMob to support the free version of the app. AdMob may collect and use:

• Advertising ID (AAID)
• Approximate (non-precise) location derived from IP
• Device information (model, OS version, language, network type)
• Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)

This data is used for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads at any time from your device: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete/reset advertising ID.

b) Google Play Billing

Purchases of the premium/PRO version are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google Play handles all transactions and refunds under its own privacy policy: Google Play Terms.

c) Google Play Core (In-App Updates & In-App Review)

The app uses Google Play Core services to prompt for app updates and in-app ratings. These interactions are handled by Google Play. See Google Privacy Policy.

3. Permissions the App Requests

The app requests the following Android permissions strictly to provide its features. None of them are used to collect or transmit personal data:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show the required foreground-service notification while the charging animation is armed.
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW ("Display over other apps") — to show the charging animation overlay when your device starts charging.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE — to keep monitoring the battery state reliably so the animation can be triggered when the charger connects.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to restart the battery monitor after the device reboots, so the feature keeps working.
• WAKE_LOCK — to briefly wake the screen when charging starts, so you can see the animation.
• VIBRATE — optional haptic feedback when charging is connected.
• USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT — to display the full-screen charging animation when the screen is locked.
• REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS — optional; you may allow this so Android does not kill the monitoring service, which would prevent the animation from playing reliably.

The app does not use the Android Accessibility Service, does not read your screen content, does not access contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, microphone, precise location, or the files on your device.

4. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information through a third-party service embedded in the app, please contact us and we will work with the provider to have it removed.

5. Data Retention

Because the app does not send your personal data to us, we do not retain any personal data on our servers. Preferences stored locally on your device are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. The only data flowing out of the app is what is handled by Google (AdMob, Play Billing, Play Core) as described above.

7. Your Choices

• Ads: Reset or opt out of personalized ads via Android Settings → Google → Ads.
• Notifications: Turn off the foreground service notification channel in Android Settings → Apps → Charging Animation → Notifications (this may reduce reliability).
• Overlay: Revoke "Display over other apps" in Android Settings → Apps → Special access.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all local data.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the small amount of local data the app stores. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
